Cow comfortCow comfort was the goal when Terry Timmons (pictured below) rockwell built a new free stall barn on his dairy farm near Loudonville, Ohio. Timmons mini drill press and his father milk 200 head of registered press holsteins. larger stalls with more "lunge space" in the front help their cows get up and down easier rockwell now, says timmons. their old barn, built in the 1970s, drill had small stalls that were closed in the front. the new stalls were made locally by stein-way equipment in apple creek, press ohio. the bedding rockwell is sand.the barn was built in august 2001 for $500 drill a stall, including electricity and water. timmons says the investment press has already paid off in better cow health. mayfield (n.y.) fire district #2 has found several other uses for its gps system. "we''re using gps technology everywhere we can," says chief myron messak. rockwell "we''ve implemented predetermined trauma helicopter landing zones, not only in my fire district but for all fire districts in county."messak''s drill agency also has developed gps maps of all village buildings and hydrants, mapped the location of rural water sources and dry press hydrants.
