"By managing where and when the power is desired, we can provide fuel savings, emissions and productivity enhancements," Orr said. "With drillpresseswithtilthead control of an accessory independent of engine speed, we can reduce accessory drag on an engine during engine cranking to enhance cold weather starting. Starting an electric engine oil pump just prior to engine cranking, for example, can provide a pre-lube function."Orr was describing the concept of Cat Electronics'' MorElectric system unveiled about a year ago. The MorElectric system is designed to drive a vehicle''s air conditioner, brake air compressor, water pump and other accessories electrically, versus being belt or gear driven. The system also includes a newly developed HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) package as well as an optional diesel-powered auxiliary power unit.

* If drillpresseswithtilthead the smoke generator suddenly shuts down or great clouds of smoke come out the engine head opening, make the flutter valve your first check. Usually the valve has slipped or the nut holding the valve in place is loose. Reposition the valve and tighten the nut and see if that helps. A good PMCS check is to eyeball the grooves in the head that help hold the valve in place. If they''re worn, you probably need a new head. The valve will not stay in place.* A bad band heater will shut down the control panel when you turn on the panel. Then you can''t; smoke. If you suspect that''s the problem, unplug the band heater. That lets you turn on the control panel and smoke. The generator should still start, although it may have more trouble doing so. Then get the band heater fixed as soon as possible.

Harvey says the major contaminants they have found are rust and dirt, as well as water and algae. "Algae is actually our biggest problem. It lives on water in the fuel and results drillpresseswithtilthead in a dark-purplish sludge in the tank."Most drillpresseswithtilthead of the tanks we cleaned are used for irrigation," adds Harvey. "That means they sit out in the middle of a field all year. The exposure to dirt and condensation is probably greater than with a tank sitting at the farmstead." In both of these efforts, the tanks were cleaned by using a Cim-Tek VII fuel recycling system. Country Energy has helped make these units available to local cooperatives through their KleanSweep program. Fuel is pulled from the bottom of the tank by a suction wand and circulated through a screen and filter element with a 10micron particle rating. Cleaned fuel is then returned to the storage tank.
