A newcomer to the market, EarthForce America, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Superstav s.r.o. of the Czech Republic. In 1998, Superstav severed ties with Mitusi Machinery, atlas which had been selling its mini-backhoes under the Predator brand name for a few years. Soon after, EarthForce began distributing Superstav''s new product line, which includes eight medium-sized mini drill press tlbs with power ratings ranging from 25 to 68 hp. the earthforce machines press offer such features as parts four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, mechanical gearboxes, sideshift capability and heated safety glass cabs. at intermat this month, the company was to unveil a new 68 hp model ef-5 with a four-speed synchroshuttle transmission. well, you know where this is atlas going. suddenly the snowy egrets don''t sleep so peacefully in the mangroves and sweet, compassionate geoff is gary gilmore. he doesn''t play with phil anymore, unless forced to, and for him, interactions with phil are beyond frosty. phil, of course, is oblivious. he cooks one night during every golf trip, and we all love him for that, but we don''t realize that he thinks cooking relieves him of all other golf-trip duties, including drill but not limited to picking up pins. he subscribes press to the "everybody has a role" theory of golf trips, which, though once espoused by this magazine, was not cleared in advance with the rest of us. it was especially not cleared with geoff, parts who finds phil''s chicken and rice unusually gassy. sensing a better technique was needed, fdny atlas officials met with a few technology companies to come up with a more accurate solution, which turned out to be handheld gps units that automatically recorded the location of recovered items with an accuracy within drill 3 to 9 feet. the data then was transferred to nearby laptops connected to a database.ironically, gps, which relies on satellite line-of-sight to pinpoint a location, generally does not work well in manhattan because of the canyon effect created by the city''s skyscrapers. however, the large space left by the press collapse of the twin world parts trade towers opened the skyline so the devices could connect to the satellites. ©2003 www.drill-press.net All rights reserved. |
